What is Slack and How do I Get on?
OVERVIEW
Slack is a messaging app for informal communications for MA Employees only. Students, parents, vendors, and anyone outside of MA Employees are not allowed to join. Slack is organized by "channels" or topics, and folks can read and send messages freely. You can also direct message or group message anyone else. It's an open platform where you can browse what others are chatting about and/or actively engage in conversations. It's up to you to decide how and when you want to engage.
How do you get access to Marin Academy's Slack space?
Click here for a Slack invite and follow the instructions. This is for MA Employees only.
OK, now I'm logged into Slack. What do I do now!?
Here is a Loom video tour... I talk about public and private channels, direct messages, group messages, emojis, and animated gifs (the best part).
