Sharing Rubrics on Canvas
Canvas doesn’t have a way of directly sharing a rubric. As a workaround, there are two options:
- Have the person import the rubric into their class. See below for a guide on how to import a rubric.

1. The first step is click Home

2. Click Import Existing Content

3. Click Select One

4. Select Copy a Canvas Course

5. Click Search for a course and enter the correct course.

6. Click Select specific content
![Step 6 image]()
7. Click Import
![Step 7 image]()
8. Scroll down and click Select Content
![Step 8 image]()
9. Click the arrow next to Rubrics
![Step 9 image]()
10. Click the desired rubric

11. Click Select Content
![Step 11 image]()
12. When it says Completed, you are done!

- Share an assignment with the rubric attached to it. Once the person accepts the shared assignment, the rubric will be available for them to use throughout their course for other assignments. See below for a guide on how to share an assignment with a person.
4 STEPS
1. The first step is to open the desired assignment and click Manage

2. Click Send To...

3. Type in the name of the person you are sending the assignment to.
