INSTRUCTIONS
You'll need two computers, one that is projecting on the Prowise display as well as sharing it's screen for the remote viewers. The second will record the speaker and be the primary audio input. These two are the co-hosts, meeting settings should be set up so that participants can not join with Audio or Video, and comments are turned off. In this way, no waiting room will be required.
"We had two inputs into a Zoom 'meeting' - my (Kevin's) computer sharing a screen with the presenters' slide deck, and then a web camera Jamie set up in the rows filming the student(s) as they presented. We were able to rig the recording so it showed the shared screen on one half and the presentation on the other half."
Best Practices
It will usually be the presenter on Computer1. They should Airplay to BBLC-LH and configure the display for Extended Desktop mode. Move the presentation window to the Prowise display. If there are multiple presentations (Like for MARC), put all presentations into a single window. Run the presentation in Presenter view and move the slide notes back to the laptop screen. When sharing the screen in Zoom/Meet, only share the Window (Not screen) that has the presentations.
For computer2, make sure to have a webcam so the operator can manage the meeting as needed. A tripod is available from the tech department. The built-in mic on the webcam is usually sufficient. An OWL can also be used if a wider field of view is needed or better audio pickup is required.
