Starting in Monterey, the Airplay button moved into the control center area. Simply click the icon that looks like two mini-horizontal switches and then click Screen Mirroring. The list of available Apple TVs will show up.

Pro tip! You can drag the Screen Mirroring button out to your toolbar to save yourself a click in the future.
Streaming content
If you want to show a movie, we highly recommend using one of the built-in apps on the AppleTV. This will avoid your computer having to both wirelessly download content and simultaneously upload that same content over the air to the AppleTV. Also, most streaming platforms no longer allow you to Airplay a stream due to copyright restrictions. We've pre-loaded many of the top content provider apps, though you will need to log in with your own IDs. You no longer need to sign-in using the remote! See the section below on using your iPhone or iPad to control the AppleTV.
For shorter Youtube videos, or content from elsewhere, you should be OK to just use your browser and Airplay. Let us know if you'd like any additional apps loaded on the AppleTVs by sending an email to techsupport@ma.org
Use for Audio only
You can send just audio to an AppleTV. Using the same Airplay steps from above, click the little icon to the right of the Sound menu (see Image2) and then choose the AppleTV from the list. You will need to enter the access code, so the projector will need to be on for at least that step.
Using your iPhone/iPad as a Remote
- Open Control Center (Swipe down from top right corner of the screen)
- Tap the remote icon at the bottom
- Select the TV you would like to control from the drop down menu at the top of your screen
- When asked, enter the 4-digit code shown on the AppleTV
-
If you do not see the Remote as an option in Control Center:
- Go to Settings
- Select Control Center
- Tap the green ‘+’ next to the Apple TV Remote
