Create personal email groups in Gmail
These instructions are taken directly from here.
Note: These are groups for your use only, like class or advisory groupings. For groups that should be organization-wide, you can submit a ticket to techsupport@ma.org with the relevant details.
View & group contacts
You can organize the people and businesses in Contacts using labels.
You can use the Contacts app to find someone’s contact info or organize contacts with labels like "2324 - G-Block Bio" or "Advisees."
Create a group
- Go to Google Contacts.
- On the left next to "Labels," click Create label
.
- Type a name, then click Save.
Add or remove contacts from a group
- Go to Google Contacts.
- Click on Import
- Click on the button next to Import Contacts and choose the label you created in the steps above.

4. Click on "Create Multiple Contacts" to paste in a comma-separated list of names. You can pull these names from MyMA in the group's roster - "Send Communication to".![Screen Shot 2024-01-05 at 2.52.02 PM.png]()
5. You can also browse the School Directory and selectively add labels to people.
- Click on Directory in your contacts window
- Scroll through the list and choose all the people you'd like to add a Label.

- When done, click on the tab-arrow and choose an existing label, or create a new one!
