Employees: Printer Troubleshooting
Overview: What to do if you cannot print.
Step 1. Check the simple things first
- Verify you are connected to MA-Staff. You can not print from MA-Guest
- Verify you are logged into Papercut. Click the green printer icon in the taskbar and click "View My Printers". You should see this screen, if you are prompted to log in, use your MA email account.

3. Make sure the printer is on/available. If it's out of paper, it won't print and just sit there in the queue.
STEP 2: Still not printing
The easiest way forward now is to remove all MA printers and let Papercut re-install them.
- Go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Printers and Scanners
- Highlight the printer giving you fits, and click the "-" to remove it. Newer OSs have a "Remove Printer" button.
- Continue to step 3 below
STEP 3: Installing the Printers onto Your Computer
Note: You must be connected to MA Staff or using a wired cable at your desk in order complete this step.
- On a mac the Print Deploy app will appear in the menu bar at the top-right of your screen. The icon is green looks like a mini printer.
- Open the app if it isn't open already and log in using the Sign in with Google option and using your MA Google account.
- The app will automatically install the BBLC Work Room Copier for you and that printer will appear in the "My printers" section.
- You can install additional printers by clicking "Add printers" tab on the left, and then pressing "Install" next to any printer you want to install.
- That's it! Try printing again. If it still will not print, submit a ticket to techsupport@ma.org and we'll help.
