MA Phone System Quickstart

OVERVIEW

This article explain the 5 things you need to know to get starting using Ring Central, MA's phone system:

TL;DR

1. Don't dial 9 first. You just either dial a phone number or extension.
2. Sign in to Ring Central to activate your account. Use Google to login and follow the prompts to complete account setup.
3. Open the RingCentral app installed on your computer. Sign into that too. Download it here if it's not installed.
4. In this app, find the Phone and Inbox tabs on the left. The phone tab is for making phone calls. The inbox tab has sub-tabs for your voicemails, text messages, and faxes.
5. Record your greeting and set your VM PIN. Go to Settings > Phone, then press the Edit button next to voicemail. Following the instructions to create a voicemail greeting and set a pin.
6. Optionally, hide functions like Video, Message, and Workspace. Go to Settings > Customize tabs and drag unused functions to the bottom.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

   2. You may need to check your email for a confirmation email.
   3. You may need to complete a security question, like what is your mother's maiden name?
3. Open the Ring Central app installed on your computer. Sign into that too.
   1. The app will be in the Applications folder of your mac. If you use Microsoft Windows or the app is missing, you can download RingCentral here.
