On behalf of the Marin Academy technology team, welcome to MA! We are here to support your use of technology throughout your time here.
Parents and guardians, please see the information below on how to set up your accounts and gain access to our school systems:
First, log into MyMA, confirm your contact information, and update anything that may have changed. MyMA is our main repository for family contact information and our emergency alert system data, so it’s extremely important to keep it up to date.
Next, visit SchoolDoc, our system for collecting various information about your student before they start at MA. To access SchoolDoc, first sign into MyMA, then click on Resources, New Families, and SchoolDoc. Then follow the instructions to complete your child(ren)’s profile(s).
Within SchoolDoc is MA’s Technology Responsible User Agreement (RUA), which both parents and students must digitally sign before students will be given access to technology resources, including student email accounts and WiFi. The RUA describes MA's expectations for how students responsibly manage the use of the technology resources MA provides, so please spend some time reviewing it with your child before you sign it.
Once you sign the RUA, we will activate your child’s Google account within 1-2 business days. Students can visit the Gmail homepage periodically and try to login. Their username is their full email address, and their password is their birth date in YYYYMMDD format. The username is in the format <first initial + last name + grade year + @ma.org>, e.g., a young Alan Turing would be aturning27@ma.org. Please be patient as we work on activating the account.
Once a student has access to their email account, they can also log into MyMA. The student’s email address is the username, and if prompted, they should log into their MA email account. They will then automatically be logged into MyMA.
Student schedules will be posted to MyMA on July 17, and access to additional technology resources will continue to be added over the summer. Students can log in to Canvas once they have access to their MA Google account, although there is nothing to see there until the fall when classes begin. Parents will receive instructions on how to set up their Canvas account in the fall as well. Please stay tuned!
