INTRODUCTION
This article is a collection of guides written by Instructure (developer of Canvas) for faculty on using Canvas Commons. Commons is a learning object repository that enables educators to find, import, and share resources. A digital library full of educational content, Commons allows Canvas users to share learning resources with other users as well as import learning resources into a Canvas course.
At MA, you will find a few different things beyond what is normally found on Commons:
- Template courses created by folks at MA that match different teaching styles
- Courses that you saved for reuse in the future
To access Commons, click the <Commons> button in the Canvas global navigation sidebar (the red area on the left in Canvas).
